Documentation, statistics from the sonics in the Marsta field Campaign. The data are provided in .mat format wich may be read by for instance Matlab, Octave or Python. 4-sonics, Metek-MP Cage model, were used. The sonics were positioned in an Array facing north of the Marsta field tower (59°55'34.3"N 17°35'08.0"E). The first sonic was positioned 3 m N of the tower and the others at distances 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 m North. The heights of all sonics were 2.5 m. Sampling was done at 20 Hz and each 30 minutes block averages were taken, after a 3-dimensional coordinate system rotation that defines the vertical wind as zero. The date number is serial datenumber from python in Swedish normal time (UTC+1), a conversion to matlab datenum may be done by: d=d+366-1/24. The time indicator is beginning of the 30-min period. The tower was monitoring wind (Gill, Windsonic SDI12) and temperature with ventilated thermoelements at 6 levels . The heights are 0.84, 1.95, 4.78, 10.1, 17.2 and 29.0 m. The date number is Matlab datenum, the date indicator is end of the 30 minute segment. The lidar was a ZX300 unit measuring at the heights 10, 28, 38, 70, 100 and 149 m The date format is matlab datenum (Swedish normal time) denoting beginning of 10-minute period.
